What

A personal budget app: track spending, budgets, and wallets. This tree is a private fork of jameskokoska/Cashew (GPL-3). Upstream is the open-source Flutter tracker; the fork is Ethiopia-first — bank and wallet SMS become transactions, and one payment can be split across categories or people you lent or borrowed.

Source is not public.

How it works

• SMS import: templates for Telebirr, CBE, Dashen, and Zemen turn those messages into transactions (provider names only — no sample SMS on this page). Parsers are customizable; you can add another bank or country. A shared parser hub is later work, not shipped.
• Splits: one real hit to the wallet, then pieces for categories and/or lend/borrow, so a dinner or a bill is not stuck in a single bucket.
• Receipt OCR: early foundation only — not the focus of this fork.

Status

Private source. Splits and SMS parsing are the main fork work. Not on Play Store. No public APK in this git repo.
